Cosan, Rede in Biomass Electric Agreement

Brazilian ethanol producer Cosan has signed a BRL250m agreement with electric energy distributor Rede to explore biomass electric generation ventures. The agreement is part of a BRL489m electricity commercialization agreement that establishes the sale of 3,000GW in a 15 year period from Rede to Cosan. Earlier this month, Cosan announced it has raised $150m from foreign private investors for its Radar agricultural real estate venture.
