UK Royal Sun Alliance Buys Chilean Firm

UK insurer Royal Sun Alliance has bought Chilean firm Compañía de Seguros Generales Cruz del Sur and its sister company in Argentina for $119 millon in cash. The new entity will have a 22% share of the Chilean market. RSA says its purchase in Chile is the start of an expansion into Latin America. The company says it is looking at possible investments in Mexico and Brazil.
