Ultrapar Taps Wongtschowski

Brazilian holding company Ultrapar Participações, which comprises LPG distributor Ultragaz, chemicals firm Oxiteno and logistics company Ultracargo has tapped Pedro Wongtschowski to be the group’s new chief executive, effective January 1, 2007. Wongtschowski is currently chief executive of Oxiteno and has been an executive board member of Ultrapar since 1985. He takes over from Paulo Guilherme Aguiar Cunha who will remain to serve as chairman of the board. João Benjamin Parolin, currently sales director at Oxiteno, will move to become chief executive to fill Wongtschowski’s place.
