Vulcabras Buys Calcados Azaleia for $179m

Brazilian footwear manufacturer Vulcabras has bought Calcados Azaleia for $179m equivalent in reais, according to Dealogic. The private deal was for cash and completed last week. Elsewhere in Brazil, Votorantim Celulose e Papel bought a plant from MD Papeis for $65m cash in a deal advised by Rothschild and Perdigao, the poultry and pork producer acquired Paraiso Agroindustrial for $15m equivalent.
