Hypermarcas Extends into Condom Market

Hypermarcas, the Brazilian consumer brands holding company, has acquired condom makers Jontex and Olla from Johnson & Johnson for $101m. The deal gives Hypermarcas a boost in the nascent Brazilian prophylactic market, says the company. Hypermarcas shares closed up 2.8% Tuesday.
