Telecom Argentina Names New CEO

Telecom Argentina CEO Frank Bertone is leaving his post, which he has held since March 2009, headed for other work within Telecom Italia, Telecom Argentina says. Stefano De Angelis, director of planning, administration and control at Telecom Italia and a previous group controller, has been named in his place. In 2011, Telecom Italia upped its stake in Telecom Argentina to 21.1% from 18.3%, and also increased its stake in Sofora Telecomunicaciones to 68% from 58%. Sofora is Telecom Argentina’s controlling shareholder.
