Mexican Development Bank Chooses Head
Rafael Gamboa has been named CEO of Mexican development bank Fideicomisos Instituidos en Relacion con la Agricultura (FIRA), FIRA says. He replaces Rodrigo Sanchez Mujica, who has held the role at FIRA since 2007. Gamboa joins from BBVA Bancomer, where he was director of public finance for Mexico since 2011. Established in 1954 by Mexico’s federal government, FIRA offers credit and guarantees and other services to the livestock, fishing, forestry and agribusiness sectors in Mexico. FIRA’s Fondo Especial para Financiamentos Agropecuarios (FEFA) is an issuer in Mexico’s domestic bond market.
