Santander Chile taps Swiss francs

Santander Chile made a snappy raid on the Swiss franc market Thursday, raising CHF300m. The bank had been heard to be considering a niche currency issue in Australian dollars earlier in the week. Lead managers BNP Paribas and UBS priced the transaction to yield 1.034%, equal to 68bp over mid-swaps. Fitch rated the note A+.
