BTG Pactual opens Mexico office

BTG Pactual has officially started operations in Mexico, with an in-country team of 25, after authorities approved the new operation in October. It will focus immediately on investment banking for institutional investors, and later this year could add wealth and asset management, a company source says. The bank expects to hire more people for the Mexican office also, LatinFinance understands.
