The last week of the month is a busy one for macroeconomic indicators.:

27, Monday: In Brazil the Central Bank will make public monthly numbers for the country’s balance of payments in July. In June Brazil posed a positive balance of $435m, less than half of the result in the same month of 2017, while foreign direct investments amounted to $6.5b. In 12 months the country received $64.3b in direct investments, equivalent to 3.25% of GDP, the highest percentage since December. On the other hand, foreigners that hd invested in capital markets took home $3.1b.
FGV Foundation will publish their assessment of the Brazilian construction sector in August.
In Mexico it is trade balance day with the performance of exports and imports in July. The last reading showed a deficit nearing $900m.

28, Tuesday: Mexico’s employment numbers for July will be made public.
In Brazil FGV will share their assessment of the manufacturing sector.

29, Wednesday: Brazil’s Central Bank will let us know how much credit was given out in July after an increase of 0.7% in June to BRL 3.1t.

30, Thursday: Peru gets to take the day off.
Brazilian’s get a taste of how much the exchange rate volatility is impacting inflation when FGV foundation publishes the IGP-M index.
In Argentina the statistics office Indec publishes the Salary index for June. In May salaries paid in the country increased 1.5% when compared to April, 24% when compared to May 2017.
In Chile the statistics office will publish July’s producers price index.
In Uruguay it is Producer Price Index day also.
Colombia’s statistics office will publish data on the housing market.

31, Friday: to note Brazil’s GDP numbers for the second quarter. In the first quarter GDP showed a 1.2% expansion year on year, and 0.4% compared to the fourth quarter of 2017.
In Chile data on employment will be made public. The last reading showed unemployment rate at 7.2%
Employment numbers in Colombia as well, related to July.
In Mexico expect data on the maquiladora sector in June.
In Uruguay the statistics office will publish construction prices and salary variations in the country.
And it is independence day in Trinidad and Tobago.
