There have been vast improvements in infrastructure in Latin America over the last decade and projects are increasingly being planned, financed and completed across the region. Infrastructure is an essential and strategic platform for growth, competitiveness and stability.  While investment flows into infrastructure projects – both local and international – have improved, the need for investment and project finance remains strong. This seminar will provide an arena for investors, government officials, and project sponsors, amongst others, to present and discuss opportunities at multiple levels.

Harnessed by the capital of international and local investors, the private sector is returning to Latin America. This is an imperative step in solving the infrastructure deficit in Latin America. But key questions need to be answered in order for the region to fully address its infrastructure needs and realize its potential: How can the state and the private sector efficiently work together? How much risk are investors willing to take?
Will stronger legal, regulatory and institutional frameworks quell the fear of private capital? Will more transparent contracting and innovative financing structures compel more companies to invest in projects? How can infrastructure projects involve less risk and improve returns for investors?

LatinFinance presents the first
Innovation in Infrastructure Finance Seminar, agathering of those public and private sector leaders, both international and regional.
This seminar will address these key questions and many more as the leading decision makers – from investors and government officials to financiers and project sponsors – form viable plans to increase foreign investment and enhance cooperation between the public and private sector.

Topics to be examined include:

  • Transportation infrastructure finance
  • Water and sanatation projects
  • Infrastructure as an asset class
  • Power and energy markets and alternatives
  • Private sector investment risks and rewards

With the active participation of both local and international experts, participants in the seminar will be able to hear, question, and discuss these issues with peers, partners and clients.

This is the perfect platform to educate the seminar attendees on how to develop a successful financing plan; make an infrastructure project bankable; improve the accuracy of models and projections; increase local bond market financing and match investor appetite for equity and fixed income.

Join LatinFinance as we take a close look at regional hot spot infrastructure markets and the opportunities that lie in this vast long-term market within the next couple of decades.
