The Latin America China Investors Forum
Westin Beijing Chaoyang September 23-24, 2009

The
Latin America China Investors Forum will enable Latin American issuers and fund managers to engage with the managers of Chinese capital and their advisers. It is designed to enable Latin Americans to discuss their investment opportunities and strategies and to provide access to China’s liquid and actively diversifying investment. To register now, click here.

The global comparative advantage of Latin America in a range of sectors including agribusiness, oil, energy and renewables, mining and metals, and forestry coupled with macro-economic stability, improved fundamentals, and prudent economic management are creating a swathe of attractive direct and portfolio investment opportunities for Chinese investors.

The recent US$10bn Petrobras deal is only one of a string of investments from Chinese entities in Latin America as both direct and portfolio investors seek to access Latin America’s out-performing assets. And with China expected to maintain growth of 9% in 2009, boosted by an announced investments totaling US$585bn, this demand is forecast to continue.
