2010 Capital Introduction Series
2nd Latin America Mid-East Investors Forum April 26th-27th, 2010 Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Investable assets in the GCC are projected to reach $3.4 trillion in 2012, up from $1.7 trillion in 2007. With growth subdued in the traditional destinations for this investment – Europe and the US – Gulf-based investors are increasingly looking to Latin America for yield and diversification. At the same time corporate and financial leaders in Latin America are engaging with their counterparts in the Gulf to explore an array of trade, business and co-investment opportunities.
Building on the success of the inaugural Latin America Mid-East Investors Forum held in Dubai in February 2009, LA-MEIF will bring together delegations of Latin America’s corporate and financial leaders with potential investors and business partners from the GCC – Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE – and surrounding markets.
Confirmed speakers include:
> Iyad Malas, CEO, Majid Al Futtaim Asset Management > Marcelo Torres, CFO, OGX > H.E. Nasser Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Chairman, Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development and Chairman of National Bank of Abu Dhabi > Alonso García Tames, CEO, Banobras > Leonardo Correa, CFO, MRV Engenharia e Participacoes > Azmat Taufique, Managing Director, Investcorp > Rene Beil, Principal, Beaufort Global Partners
