Mexican water services equipment supplier Rotoplas plans to make more acquisitions in Mexico and Latin America after buying a water treatment plant in the central state of Puebla, a company source told LatinFinance on Thursday.
“This transaction was part of a programmatic M&A strategy,” the source said, adding that the company plans “to carry out small transactions frequently to gradually increase market presence and penetrate new sectors.”
Rotoplas acquired the treatment plant in Puebla to serve the hotel and industrial sectors, the firm said in a securities filing on Thursday.
In December last year, the firm said it was conducting “in-depth market analysis” as it considers “targeted acquisitions” in the Brazil, Mexico and the United States, according to a securities filing.
