Brazilian women’s fashion retailer Marisa Lojas said Adilvo Souza is joining the company as CFO to replace Roberta Ribeiro Leal as part of its “strategic repositioning plan.”

Souza has held executive positions at companies in Brazil and elsewhere in Latin America, including as CFO of Grupo CAOA, Grupo Cornélio Brennand, Cencosud, Hypera and Unilever’s Brazilian division, the firm said Tuesday in a securities filing.

Ribeiro Leal, who led the company’s financial restructuring efforts, will remain executive director at its payment business M Pagamento and financing arm M Bank.

CEO Edson Garcia, who joined the company earlier this year, will assume the position of investor relations officer, the filing said.

The changes mark the start of a new phase of the firm’s repositioning plan, it added.
