The Colombian arm of Italian electric utility company Enel signed a COL251.6 million ($78 million) loan from local lender Bancolombia to fund sustainable agricultural projects.
The ten-year loan has a grace period of two years, with quarterly interest payments and annual amortization, Enel Colombia said Thursday in a securities filing.
The company said it will use the proceeds to finance investments in rural areas, without elaborating.
In June last year, Enel Colombia borrowed the equivalent of $200 million from the European Investment Bank.
