The financing needs of Mexican states and municipalities are expected to grow as the Mexican federal government seeks to transfer the responsibility for fund-raising and infrastructure development to states and municipalities. However, sub-sovereigns’ access to private finance is often constrained by operational and financial performance and a lack of information on credit quality. And, though new and effective products and structures to finance Mexican sub-sovereign entities and their infrastructure exist, the practicalities of structuring and implementing these projects are often unfamiliar. Infrastructure and Sub-Sovereign Finance in Mexico Summit is specifically designed to explore and examine the opportunities and challenges (and solutions) inherent in infrastructure finance in these varied complex, sub-sovereign markets.
This seminar is intended to enable public-sector officials, financiers, sponsors, investors, concessionaires operators, EPCs and monolines to engage in up-to-the-minute analysis of the peculiarities of this rapidly growing & evolving segment, and the financing and investment opportunities it presents. Click here for the latest agenda.
With a bottom-up agenda of presentations and practical workshops, state-level government representatives will outline their budget requirements, planned infrastructure projects, how they plan to meet them, and where and how the private sector might be involved. The financiers and advisers will explain new structures and financing options including securitization, PPS, and the refinancing of operational infrastructure assets.
Learn the practical experience of experts including:
> Enrique Peña Nieto, Governor, State of Mexico
> Oscar de Buen Richkardy, Sub-Secretary of Infrastructure, State of Oaxaca
> Carlos Cesarman, Executive Director of Finance, PINFRA
> Francisco Santoyo, Director of Finance, Comisión Federal de Electricidad
