LatinFinance and Euromoney Conferences are proud to host The Latin American Borrowers and Investors Forum (LABIF) 2007.

LABIF was conceived in 2005 as a joint initiative between Euromoney Conferences, LatinFinance, and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) as an annual pan-regional debt capital markets forum designed to drive forward the Latin American capital markets agenda and to serve as a meeting-ground, par excellence, for the region’s key market players, whether issuer, investor, or intermediary.

Once again in 2007 LABIF will bring together the leading institutions and individuals that use and shape Latin America’s capital markets – issuers, investors, and intermediaries alike – for two days of panel discussions, networking, workshops, and high-level debate on the future of the region’s capital markets.

Expect comprehensive discussion of the key issues driving the market.
Topics include:

·
the convergence of international and local markets

·
the growth of local securitization markets across the region

·
the continued development of sovereign bond curves in Mexico, Brazil, Peru, and other Latin markets

·
debt market acquisition financing

·
the future of hybrid securities in Latin America

The forum will combine keynote addresses, structured debate in the form of panel discussions, in-depth topic analysis in the form of sponsor workshops, and a wide variety of social events to maximise networking opportunities.

The results of the poll will shape the debate in the final session on day one of the conference. All of the information/comments that you provide will be treated in the strictest confidence.

Confirmed speakers for this year’s conference include:

  • Gerardo Rodriguez, Head of Public Credit, Mexico
  • Hugo Sarmiento, Chief Financial Officer, Corporación Andina de Fomento(CAF)
  • Simon Treacher, Senior Portfolio Manager, Bluebay Asset Management
