Markets in the region may be almost back to normal with just one more week to go in the World Cup.
Monday is a local holiday in São Paulo, Brazil, and that closes the B3 exchange headquartered there. The central bank will be working though, and will publish its weekly Focus newsletter with market projections for Brazil’s largest regional economy. In Mexico, the week starts with June inflation numbers and May’s trade balance.
Tuesday is time to learn about Brazil’s agricultural production in June and Argentina’s tourism industry in May. In April, the country saw a 9% increase in the flow of foreign visitors while the number of Argentines traveling abroad was 15% higher.
Wednesday Colombia’s statistics office will publish the country’s yearly look into the activity of its mining and energy industries as well employment levels in May, while Brazil and Uruguay will publish industrial production numbers for May.
Thursday in Colombia comes the ICC series, the construction cost indexes while Mexico publishes the industrial activity in May.
Friday Chile’s statistics office publishes inventory numbers for May and Colombia will let us know how manufacturing, services and hotel sectors are doing with its EMM, EMS and MMH indexes.
